100 Hours of Humo(u)r – Hour 51: Best of the First 50

A rundown of all the writing tips, podcasts, and winning contest entries so far

By Dave Fox

100hours-logo3It occurred to me a couple of hours ago that with 50 posts in just over two days, I’ve posted more stuff than the average person is going to read. Some of you have lives beyond watching some freak halfway around the world battle his sleep-deprivation demons.

Then again, to quote (or maybe just paraphrase) my opening video, “We all love a good train wreck, don’t we?”

But for those of you who are hitting saturation levels, here’s a rundown of the best of the first 50 hours. (This list includes all of the humor writing tips and the winning entries from both contests so far. We have had many guest bloggers, and because I hate the thought of having to decide whose stories were better than others, if you want to read all of their posts, please just head to the homepage and work your way down from there.

(And on that note, my body is demanding that I again step away from my computer for a few hours. I’ll be back!)

Hour 1: Opening Ceremonies – In which I kick things off with a video and attempt to explain what the hell I am about to attempt. Also, in the Hour 1 comments, lots of people saying hello and letting me know where they’re stalking me from.

Life has a way of doing that, Jules. Sleep is about to get in the way of things for me. And I did not know this was possible but I am actually getting a blister from typing.

For his art! (maybe for his Art?) And I thought he was doing all that suffering for us!

Event was awe-some, yo! You’re probably still asleep – but just wondering, did my Sydney Bad-ass Traveler (the Brit Bastard) get in on time? If not, I’ll send it to The New Yorker (yeah, right.)
