Read My Book About Travel Journaling and You Might Gain Weight… in a Good Way!
By Dave Fox
I’m always happy to receive e-mail from my readers — whether it’s fan mail, ideas, constructive criticism, or ranting hate mail from crazy people. I receive all of the above, and it all brightens my day.
But this morning, I received a particularly delightful e-mail from Sheridan in Spokane, Washington — who sent this message, along with before-and-after photographs of her travel journal:
I read Globejotting several weeks before my 3 week trip to Germany. I usually journal but my travel journal reached a whole new level of awesomeness. Your book was great and prepared me well. I’ve attached some pictures of my freakish travel journal compared to the same one unused. Enjoy.
P.S. It went from 9 oz to 26 ounces.
(For those of you who think in metric, that’s an increase of half a kilo.)
I’m usually an advocate of traveling light, but this is the sort of extra weight I love to see!
Thanks, Sheridan, for sending your photos![Readers were curious what was inside all of these pages. Sheridan offered to give us a tour. See more photos here!]
Have you got before-and-after pics of your own travel diaries? Snapshots of you with “Globejotting” in a cool place? Journaling success stories you’d like to share? Or long-winded rants that you’re going to burn my books because I wrote mean things about lutefisk? (I received an e-mail like that once — coincidentally from a guy in the same town as Sheridan.) Whatever you have to say, I’d love to hear from you! You can leave your comments in the area below, or drop me an e-mail.
