100 Hours of Humo(u)r – Hour 50: Halftime!

By Dave Fox

100hours-logo2So! Here we! It’s hour 50 out of a hundred!

All I have to do now is maintain this energy level for 50 more of these hours, and then I can curl into the fetal position and whimper pathetically, knowing my goal has been achieved.

It’s been a fascinating first 50. I’ve learned things about myself, such as, just because I have an idea doesn’t mean I should pursue it. And also, it turns out that at some point, sleep does become necessary. I am thrilled to say I am back on track after slipping earlier in the day. Never mind that it is now 11 p.m. and can feel my motor skills failing me again, like they did last night. Finishing sentences is once becoming a tricky endeavor.

So hey, if you’re just waking up in parts of the world where it’s morning, and working your way backward through the ones you missed while you were asleep, take your time. Pace yourself. Go enter our current flash humor contest. You’ve got five more hours.

If I should vanish, I’ll be back. (And hey, I’ve got a fun group activity planned in 10-12 hours, but it requires that I’m able to stay awake for a while so I’ll tell you about it later.
