Recently, at one of my lectures, a woman came up to me and said, “I love your blog. I get annoyed when there’s nothing new there.”

I felt flattered. And I thought, “If people get annoyed when I don’t blog, they should send me thousands and thousands of dollars so I can stop wasting time doing other so-called ‘work,’ which I need to do to earn so-called ‘money,’ so I can buy so-called ‘food’ … and then I could just blog full time.”

Alas, my readers do not send me thousands and thousands of dollars, therefore my life occasionally gets busy, and I stop blogging for a couple of weeks. Then people usually begin making funeral arrangements for me.

I am happy to report that I survived a couple of brushes with death on my recent trip to Norway, and am still alive — which means if you want to send me thousands and thousands of dollars, it will not be in vain. Yes, I promised goofy travel reportage from the Old Country. I have fallen behind… but stay tuned. Beginning tomorrow (I hope): my multi-day report of travel transportation nightmares, and a riot in Denmark that hit a little too close to home.
